About VMR Jacobs Well
VMR Queensland has 25 affiliated Squadrons located throughout the State of Queensland, and the volunteer staff of these Squadrons provide Marine Search and Rescue Services to the boating public.
The VMR Jacobs Well Assn Inc. operational area is from Moreton Bay in the north, to the northern parts of the Gold Coast Broadwater in the south, including the North Arm of the Coomera River, and the Logan and Albert Rivers, Jumpinpin Bar, and Offshore waters east of North and South Stradbroke Islands.
Our staff are all Volunteers, and we are here to help.
We can assist with groundings, flat batteries, breakdown towing or out of fuel vessels.
Our primary role is Search and Rescue and Qld Ambulance Service First Response on the water.
Operational Information
Currently we charge $200 per hour, base to base, for on water assistance. This charge covers our operational expenses.
Our membership fee is currently $77 per annum, but will increase to $88 per annum from 1st Jan 2023
