About VMR St Pauls
VMR St Pauls operates from the eastern side of Moa Island, north of Thursday Island in the Torres Strait.
We do not maintain a radio watch.
For assistance, VTS in partnership with other Squadrons maintain a 24hr listening watch on VHF Channel 16.
If in phone range, the Qld Police Service should be your first point of contact.
Masters should be advised that a fee applies to operations that are not of a life threatening nature.
Operational Information
VMR St Pauls operates a 9m NAIAD Rescue Vessel with a range of approximately 250 nautical miles.
This vessel is named ‘St Pauls Rescue’ and is equipped with VHF radio.
Launch time is approximately 1 hour from Moa Island.
